TwinWheel Logistics are an Essex based haulage distribution and logistics company with a network spread across the UK and into mainland Europe. With a state-of-the-art fleet of vehicles and a large nationwide and international distribution network Twin Wheel have established themselves as experts in the logistics industry.

THE CHALLENGE.

2020 saw immense growth for Twin Wheel and throughout the Covid-19 Pandemic heavy reliance on supply chains and the transportation of critical equipment meant Twin Wheel could make a significant contribution to keeping the country running.

The challenge of re-locating to a larger premises to support their growing business meant a whole new IT Infrastructure was needed in a matter of weeks. A large new site with a bespoke two storey office building and a large warehouse needed critical IT services to quickly meet the demands of their large growing team.

25 office-based staff required PCs, printers, desk equipment, and internet connectivity and with new staff joining the IT infrastructure needed to be scalable.

THE SOLUTION.

A completely new network was needed from the ground up with structured cabling, networking hardware, wireless connectivity, and a dedicated fibre leased line. We successfully installed 100x Cat 6 data points to Ethernet sockets positioned around the office and an underground fibre connection to the warehouse where more cabling went in for CCTV, PCs, and WIFI connectivity.

Our network team installed and configured Routers, Switches and WIFI access points throughout the site, and within four weeks of starting the project all office-based staff had been re-located and started using a brand-new IT Network that would be able to accommodate future growth by 100%.

Such an increase and growth in the size of Twin Wheel’s business has meant 24×7 IT Support has been essential to sustain their operations. Our team has now been supporting Twin Wheel for 2 years and seen further new additions to their team.

A brand-new site for Twin Wheel has hugely expanded their business and with a scalable IT Infrastructure and implementing digital systems it has revolutionised their services and their ability to serve their customer base.
