We began by conducting our comprehensive audit. This audit covered Sana’s IT systems, core infrastructure, security, devices, and data to discover what they operated as an essential step to highlight areas which needed improvement, and the areas of highest risk.
Our audit findings concluded that a more secure complete solution was needed for their email and data storage as previous systems had siloed these functions into separate weaker systems which would not natively connect. We were also able to analyse their expenditure and it was clear that savings could be made by combining systems together under the umbrella of Microsoft 365.
Our main priority once the audit was complete was to migrate Sana’s 20 email accounts to Microsoft 365, and we did so swiftly over a weekend without disrupting business operations. Secondly, Microsoft OneDrive for Business was rolled out to staff devices which captured all local documents and securely synchronised them to the Cloud.
Sana’s company data share was also migrated over to OneDrive and via sharing functions the file permissions were applied to distribute access to folders and data to each member of staff.
An external and internal security review was carried out and results highlighted several vulnerabilities and were remediated immediately. Our security team confidently established a secure baseline in which Sana can move forward with the peace of mind that their core infrastructure, devices, and data are secure.
Our on-going security monitoring and vulnerability scanning will maintain Sana’s security posture into the future and protect their vital systems against emerging threats.
